    Ann is the founder of A.C. Poirier & Associates Inc. Prior to establishing the practice in 1997, Ann was a partner with Ernst & Young where she practiced primarily in the area of corporate insolvency. She commenced her career with that firm in 1980 and has been practicing exclusively in the area of insolvency and restructuring since 1984. She was a Partner and Senior Vice President with Ernst & Young and the Practice Director of her office’s insolvency practice.

    In 1997 Ann established A.C. Poirier & Associates Inc. in New Brunswick. The Company has grown consistently since then and now has 3 Trustees in Bankruptcy, 4 staff who are working towards obtaining their licenses as Trustees in Bankruptcy and almost 30 other dedicated para-professional staff. The firm has offices throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and in Prince Edward Island.

    Ann has plenty of experience volunteering for her profession. She sat on the Board of Directors of CAIRP and the CAIRP Continuing Education Committee and over the years she has been a member of various CAIRP Committees including those dealing with insolvency reform.

    Paul spent most of his career with two of the major national CA firms, Clarkson Gordon (now Ernst & Young) and Deloitte prior to joining A.C. Poirier & Associates Inc. in 2001.

    Paul has had a long career. He joined the CA profession in 1969 and obtained his CA designation and license as a Trustee in Bankruptcy shortly thereafter. Early in his career he became a Partner responsible for the firm’s local corporate insolvency practice which, under Paul’s direction, became the leading practice in Eastern Ontario.

    Paul joined Deloitte in 1989 and became the President of their National Insolvency Practice. He held that position for approximately 7 years. In that capacity he acted as the lead partner on many large and complex restructurings in Canada many of which had cross-border and global operations.

    Paul practices in both the consumer and corporate insolvency departments of Grant Thornton Poirier Limited. It is under Paul’s direction, that Grant Thornton Poirier Limited has successfully restructured many companies and sole proprietorships for whom the options initially seemed very limited.

    Henry joined A.C. Poirier & Associates Inc. in November 2010 after working the prior five years with PricewatehouseCoopers Inc. as a Vice-President and trustee in bankruptcy in their Moncton office.  In that time he worked exclusively in the field of insolvency.  Prior to that, Henry had worked 20 years with local and regional Chartered Accounting firms providing accounting, taxation, insolvency and consulting services to corporate and individual clients.

    Henry’s work in the insolvency field spans close to twenty years.  He has worked with both business and consumer clients as well as serving a variety of secured lenders.  He receives personal and professional satisfaction in providing alternatives and guidance to those with financial challenges.

    In addition to his professional work, Henry has a long history of involvement in a number of business, non-profit and sport organizations in various capacities.
